Government takes over GM, why not take over the gas companies and lower our prices.?

Although i don't believe in government takeovers...I sure wouldn't mind them taking over the gas companies to lower these prices...or at least give an excuse of why it rises.
 
Because these companies are not in peril like GM. Mismanagement and self indulgence ruined them and they were taken over by Commrade Obama. If the oil companies ever need the government handouts that GM and crack addicts alike get, they will be fair game as well.
