gourmet points in restaurant city don't add up when im not in my restaurant? why is...

...that? Ok. so when i saved the game i have 3370 points. i left the resto with all my cooks and waiters having 100 energy. then after one day i came back and have an aditional 2000 in my money, but still have the same points. why is that? my points only add up when im in the resto. XD HAHAHA!
