got truphone working on my n80 ;]

[I Need Help!!!]

I have a Nokia N80. I just flashed the firmware to the latest 4.0632.0.38 (The Nokia N80i) and now truphone works great. I won't explain how to flash or where to get what you need to flash. But If your determined, you can figure it out. TruPhone works on Nokia N80i.

The N80ie or any other n80 do not have 1900 UMTS hardware.

Nokia originally planned to release a WCDMA 1900 MHz version for the North American 3G market. ....and how would flashing the phone make any difference when this is a hardware issue...its like flashing a 900/1800/1900 into an 850/1800/1900. Its not possible because its not a SW issue

i didnt flash it to wcdma 1900, its ALWAYS been wcdma 1900, i flashed it to nokia n80i, this topic is NOT about wcdma 1900, its about VOIP on the n80!

Iv just txt tru to 60030 to get the truphone app and wen i clicked the link it said my n80IE isnt compatible? So id like to know how u got the truphone app for ur n80IE? Thanx

i logged into my truphone account, and downloaded the sisx for the E series.
note, i had to email tech support to get a truphone account because texting didnt work for me.

and about why i dont have 3G symbol, i dont live in a 3G area, but i live near one, hears screen shots i posted a while back,

I don't understand the purpose of this entire thread. The only reason this works for you and you are getting UMTS speeds is because you have a prototype N80 with 1900 WCDMA which no one else on this forum is able to get.
