got my ps3 connected to the internet - my sierra wireless 875u aircard, what speeds

do i need to be lag free? I got connected through my computer which i made it to where it shares a connection whenever i am connected on the interenet. should i be good as long as i only use the ps3 when i play online in order to be lag free or do i need to tweak some stuff ...... DSL, BROADBAND, CABLE ARENT AVAILABLE IN MY AREA.
