Hello all- Just got the N73 and it is truly beautiful but wont go into it as I know its old news for many .Just went on Zedge to download some themes but have no themes folder on my memory card so can anyone tell me where to save themes on the memory card and where will they be on the phone ??

Cheers, LL-

you install them like applications (via pc suite), and save them to either the phone or to the memory card.. your choice. I don't recommend Zedge for themes. I would either look at e-series.org or look at mobile9.com

Thanks everyone but I am trying to figure out in which folder I should save them. I am now saving them in "others" and then transferring them to the phone from the memory card and the it says "not supported" and wont install the themes.

Cheers, LL-

You can save them in the root folder of the memory card, if you must save them there. What we were saying is that you can install them through PC Suite on the PC, way easier. with your phone connected (USB or BT) just double click on the file and it should start right up.

Cheers Rcadden !!!
It seems my problem is actually getting the themes into the themes folder, there is no themes folder visible on the memory card or in the phone when hooked up ???

Cheers, LL-

one thing is, u sure your themes are for s60v3 right? cuz themes should be able to detect your themes NO MATTER where u put it on your phone i think...

(btw what colour did u get? )

Right you are. That's how it is with Symbian phones. The .sis file, think of it as winzip for your phone. It's really a package of a bunch of other files, and it installs those on your phone when you open it. Same reason there's really no "apps" folder.

to view the theme folder you need a memory card reader and navigate to Private (it's a hidden folder) you will find lots of folders one of them is for themes... can't remember the number of the folder tho.. but you will be able to find it.. but again if they are not meant for 3rd edition phones they won't work... some might work if you extract the content of them and place them into the theme folder

cheers
