got my arlen ness grips

got the part about the cardbord or something to hold the brake handle open, now the left one has 3 little set screws so i suppose no glue? any one install any arlen ness grips? is this how they hold the left grip on? grips have the holes for the set screws to go through and press against the bars.
 
My left PM grip has set screws. I installed them according to the directions which state to drill a small starter hole/groove (if you will) for the set screw to grab ahold of. Eliminates slipping.
 
hate to sound stupid but since iv never done this does the left switch housing have to be taken apart also on my street glide?
 
no slide it on and tighten down but loosen the switch housing in case u need to go a little further in. hope this helps.
