Got DUI went to court but no charges filed yet?

I got a DUI ticket on November 1st..I hit a taxi cab while making a turn..nobody was hurt. Well I went to my court date on November 30th and when I showed up the clerk said I was not in the system. I was then given an acknowledgment of appearance document. I have my DMV hearing on the 15th, but DMV says that at the moment they have not received my blood results. Ive contacted the court & the DA's office periodically to check if any charges have been filed yet...still not in the system...why is this such a long process??
There is a police report that DMV has obtained..but no blood results..my insurance will be covering the damages done to the taxi cab..it wouldnt make sense for the cab driver to sue me when my insurance is taking care of the damages done to the cab.
 
They could be back logged entering data into their systems. You need to take this time , while waiting and hire a lawyer, cause you are gonna need one, that cab driver will be suing you too, in civil court, you hit him. It is there, and you will be notified.
