Got a v710 currently, thinking about a new phone

Right now I've got a Motorola v710 with Verizon. I'm moving this off my parents plan and onto my own plan, so in the process I'm looking at new phones and maybe a new provider. To give you an idea of where I'm coming from, here are some pros and cons of my current setup.

Verizon Pros:
- Tons of people I know have Verizon, including every single person I talk to on a regular basis.
- Using the the phone as a dialup modem is a lifesaver.
- Good service everywhere I go.

Verizon Cons:
- Stupid disabled phones! Those cheap bastards want to squeeze every penny out of you with get it now, and that's basically your only option if your phone doesn't have a nice firmware hack.
- Their customer service is on and off. I've had my phone replaced 4 times now (more on that below), and sometimes its been painless and sometimes its been pulling teeth.

v710 Pros:
- Great service
- Working as a bluetooth modem rocks
- iSync'ing my contacts works, albeit over USB
- Not small, but a nice size. Fits into my pocket easily.

v710 Cons:
- I'm on #4 now. (3 being in the last six months.)
- This may seem like a nitpick, but on both the v710 and an old Motorola phone I had for work, the power charger hookup made a real flimsy connection. Sometimes it wouldn't charge unless you wiggled it just right. This was opposed to my Nokia before that made a good solid connection.
- No OBEX (though this is really a Verizon firmware problem, not the phone)

So with all that in mind, here is what I'm looking for in a new phone (in a rough order of preference):
- Good service in California, namely the Bay Area and greater Los Angeles.
- Bluetooth.
- OS X compability for bluetooth syncing (contacts/calendars/etc.), bluetooth modem, and OBEX. I'm willing to do a reliable firmware hack, but I would prefer that it just works.
- mp3 ringers
- A picture phone is nice but not a dealbreaker, but then again I think most phones with the bluetooth stuff I want all have a camera.
- Small-Medium size. I don't need something super tiny, just something that fits into my pocket easily. I don't want or need a QWERTY keyboard.

So with all that in mind, got some suggestions? Keeping my current phone and getting a plan with Verizon is definitely an option, but if something meets my needs very closely, I'm not opposed to spending the money on it.
