I think the best place to mount them is around the rear axle facing forward or on the front fork by the brake caliber somewhere. I think you need to see the bike in the frame to get the best action.

My 2 cents. (Theres a $ sign on the key board...why no cent sign ? )
 
Just bought a GoPro 5mp today from ebay 170 lens. Paid $139 shipped. It only comes with one quick mount and a 2GB SD card.

Im cheap... After my last track day this weekend Seeing so many on other bikes and Ducati5 had his mounted and got a lap of me on it.

I also paid Dale Keifer to follow me around for a few laps then we picked apart my riding afterwards.

These things are worth their weight in gold. I cant wait until January to test out the camera and also test the feedback from the trainer about my riding.

I will post if I have any issues.

The ONE time I dont bring my laptop to the track I have all this video of me available for d-load. I should have some by mid week. Its pretty good. I will be glad to share it when it arrives.
 
Im getting ready to get the HD version of it sometime soon
have the standard and it is awesome use it on the bike then when i go wake boarding. Functionality of this thing is great
 
Ok, so here is the footage of me from Dale Keifer. It is only a couple laps. This was taken with a "FLIP" camera and not a gopro. I am in the red and black leathers.

Dont make fun of me, I tried to pass a slower guy coming out of Turn 7 and going in to turn 8 I shifted into 1st gear and the bike hopped so bad I couldnt make the turn. You will see.

Yes, I pass guys on the outside of most turns, I know its more dangerous for me, but I dont want to get meatballed (flag) for spooking guys even worse from passing on the inside. It kills my lap times though.

Dale Keifer is an ex AMA/wera/Formula extreme racer who now brings Michelin Tires to all the track days/races.

He is on a Honda CBR 1000. I wish he didnt wheelie so much, cause I miss footage when he does.
