Google Voice and the Nokia N82: Dial out free?

Could I also use Google Voice for free SMS texting on an E72? I already have a Google Voice number, but if so, how do I set it up on a Symbian phone?

That older GV for S60 software no longer works.

I do this with NM and it works well enough. I have GV set to forward SMS to my Gmail account and not to SMS on my phone and the SMS comes in real time with push email. When I reply to the SMS via email it gets routed back to the sender as an SMS from my GV number. Works pretty well. The only issue is initiating an SMS is a little harder, I initiate with the GV mobile site. An inconvenience I live with for free SMS since I don't do it often.

1) obtain a free incoming SIP/DID account with sipgate
2) configure the SIP client in phone to use sipgate
3) configure the new DID into google voice
4) Outgoing -> use GV mobile WAP page. Call goes to sipgate DID which rings on mobile via SIP/VOIP
5) GV then dials the target number for you
6) Incoming-> people call your GV number which connects to sipgate DID and your phone via SIP/VOIP

This assumes you are wifi connected for calling (or have a data plan) and have a SIP capable phone. The GV mobile wap page also lets you receive and send SMS as well. It also has access to your gmail contacts list phone numbers.

I tried this when gmail first made calling from it free but nothing happened.

Of course I didn't have any voip set ups on my phone... is there manual instruction for this? (I admit I didn't search yet, just posted this question)

To clarify, it's supposed to just work when I put the number and call? Cause right now it says please wait this may take a few seconds but nothing happens (from native browser). The settings link give internal 500 error too.
