Google Video Alternative to YOUTUBE on N93

OK, this might be obvious but I didn't think of it. Just tried it and it works.

The WOM N93 blog is reporting the following:

"We?ve been asked if it?s possible to to download Google videos to your N93. It is!

Visit Google Video, pick the video you want to watch and then scroll to the menu on the left hand side of the page. Select the ipod/psp option and download. The clip will automatically open in Realplayer."

Only works N93, I think.
 
srobbin.com works fine with my E61, I download the .avi files and watch them with smartmovie. The .mp4 works with realplayer, but sometimes I get the "file not supported" error.
Haven't tried the google video thing yet though.
 
Yes srobbin work great, but is limted to a few minutes. The method described above only works for N93 as only it can read the video files directly from google without conversion.
 
I havent tried it yet but why would the E61 or N73 be any different? I'm going to check it out regardless but hopefully your wrong!! That would be sweeet
 
the thing about reading it direct from google without conversion should apply to at least the N73 as they record in the same format...the n93 is just higher res...i'm checking it out in a few minutes when I grab a smoke and will report back on at least the E61. If that doesnt work I'll try my N73 Luego!!................still hope your wrong though
 
where is the menu on the left? I've got google vid opened on my E61 and my laptop and the pages are identical but there is no sign of downloading methods.
 
no, go to the right side where you will see "windows/mac", clickon it and change it to "video ipod/ sony psp" and than click download.'

it should start downloading...and after it's finshed real player will try playing it. chances are it will not play at all or just the audio, N93 exclusive it seems
