Following the recent release of Samsung's Galaxy Gear smartwatch and Sony's Smartwatch 2, a new report reveals that Google is in talks with Asia suppliers to ramp up production of its own smartwatch.
The tech giant is also working on improving its smartwatch's power supply to extend its battery life, according to the Wall Street Journal, citing sources familiar with the matter.

Earlier this month, recent reports said Google's smartwatch will harness the features in Google Now, the company's intelligent mobile assistant.
Of course, if Google does jump into the smartwatch race, it may face stiff competition from Apple's rumored upcoming smartwatch, a device that would likely be driven by iOS, and go head-to-head with any Android-based wearable tech.
Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
