A little question I hope some of you can answer with reliable sources to back up the info. But for a long while I was using Google Chrome. Until I began noticing spyware infecting my PC and slowing down other processes, I found out the cause of this was Chrome, as the directory those spyware programs were under Chrome. Eventually I reverted to Firefox for the security. But I couldn't stand how agonizingly slow that program is. It would even crash on my desktop from the sheer amount of system resources it hoarded on a PC with a dual-core processor & 3.25GB of DDR1 RAM. So, recently I went back to Google Chrome. Within 2 days of using it I had 26 spyware tracking cookies, etc. Do know I do NOT surf sites that are dangerous, even on Firefox.
My question is, does anybody know when Spybot S&D (Which I have now) will come out with active protection against Google Chrome. And if I should switch out my antivirus from Avast? And most importantly, what programs can I use that are FREE which will give me sufficient protection from spyware when using Google Chrome?
