Every time I try to open google chrome, about 5 seconds later a message pops up and says, "Whoa! Google Chrome has crashed." And then it asks me if I want to close the program and then restart it.
I have used this web browser for 2 years and never had any problems with it. I just downloaded opera and I really like it, but I would like to know why google chrome isn't working all of a sudden, so please don't suggest to just use another web browser.
This is really annoying. I wish I knew what was wrong. Please Help.
I have also tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it twice. I am currently logged in on my username for youtube which also seems to log me in on it in google as well and I can't even sign out. When I click sign out nothing happens and it just crashes. If I open the browser and don't click anything it crashes. If I open it and go to facebook, it crashes... NO MATTER WHAT I DO IT CRASHES!!!!!!!! God I would kill that web browser if I could.
All my other browsers work. No I have not downloaded any addons recently. Google chrome has been working all day for me. I have had it open literally all day and about 2 hours ago when I wasn't even on it, it crashed. I was in microsoft works when, which is the only other program I had open. And now google chrome won't stop crashing.
I have already checked for malware on my computer by running a virus scan. The results said I had no threats on my computer. I even went into my control panel under the uninstall programs section to make sure nothing suspicious had recently been installed. Then I opened up my task manager and looked to see what processes were running and none of them looked suspicious. I don't think I have a virus, so I don't know what's wrong.
The only possible thing I can think of is that my username that I am currently logged into in that browser has somehow been corrupted. I can't log out of it though. Even when I uninstall it and reinstall it, it still has me logge
You guys are talking to a WoW nerd... these things are not my issues -_-
I also just tried to open a restore point under previous versions in properties. One restore point was from 1/13/2011 and the other was from 12/14/2010. Neither worked. It still crashed.
