I have been trying to install Google Chrome on my Sony Vaio since December 2010, but every time I do the following message appears during installation: "The installer encountered error 0xc0000096."
I can get through the download just fine but probably 5 - 10 seconds into the installation, I get an error message. I've run a virus scan and disabled firewalls while installing with no luck. If you need additional information about my rig go ahead and ask.
