Google Chrome Icon is not opening Google Chrome?

every time i try opening google chrome, it doesnt let me. whenever i click the icon to open google chrome, it does nothing. i tried reinstalling chrome, but everytime i get the same response.
btw, im using a windows vista.
thats the problem, everytime i do that, the one in the installation folder doesnt work.
