Google Chrome dumping saved form information?

The passwords I keep saved in Chrome always remain, that's not what this question is about. It seems that the "remember me" checkboxes don't mean anything to Chrome; every time I quit Chrome, all of my accounts are logged off, whether or not the "remember me" box is checked. If you go into the options for data clearing in Chrome, you can clear various bits of data from the browser. My settings for this are to dump everything that isn't a saved password, which I believe is default. I only use this option every month or so, when the cache needs clearing, but it's beginning to seem as if Chrome is doing something similar every time I close the browser. The web history isn't being deleted, but the fact that I'm logged into my accounts is. I literally cannot stay logged in to any website. The account login info is still there, so all I really have to do it press "login". It's not so much a bug or issue, but more of an annoyance. When I want to check my email, I want to click "Gmail" in my favorites bar (or "Yahoo!"), and be taken to my inbox, not to my login screen. This began happening about two weeks ago; I was hoping it was a server issue with Google, but I don't think such a problem would persist so long. If anyone has an idea what I'm trying to say, and thinks they can help, by all means, click that "answer question" button.

If it means anything:
Google Chrome, v8.0.552.231
Mac OS X 10.6.6

Thanks,

Nic
