Google announced today that they will begin removing support for Netscape Plugin API (NPAPI) plugins like Silverlight, Google Talk, and others in Google Chrome. Popular plugins like Silverlight will stay whitelisted for awhile, but they expect to fully remove NPAPI plugin support by the end of 2014. Read more here.
