Storyline

Henry Hill is a small time gangster, who takes part in a robbery with Jimmy Conway and Tommy De Vito, two other gangsters who have set their sights a bit higher. His two partners kill off everyone else involved in the robbery, and slowly start to climb up through the hierarchy of the Mob. Henry, however, is badly affected by his partners success, but will he stoop low enough to bring about the downfall of Jimmy and Tommy?

Surprising is the one and only word to say for this movie. I've always thought that Goodfellas was one of the greatest films ever and a milestone in the 90's or even in the history of cinema. I bought Goodfellas last week and got to see the film two days ago. In fact, I just can not put my eyes on the film, and about everything was just simply worth watching. The acting was excellent, not Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Lorraine Bracco, and other actors of Great Britain and almost all of the characters portrayed were 100% accurate. Camera work was also brilliant and Martin Scorsese does a beautiful job by putting excellent camera shots in his films and give him high credit for it. The sound is also one of the best soundtracks ever, and the song "Layla," put chills down my spine film how great this song fitted. In general, the best Martin Scorsese film has in my opinion and him and Nicholas Pileggi made excellent script and that has made this sharp, the film is still the greatest mob today.
