I was diagnosed with granuloma annulare in 2001. Since then it has gotten progressively worse. The dermatologist said it would probably go away in about 2 years.Guess what?..It didn't. It got worse. By 2007 it was covering 50 % of my body but by then I had refused to let it bother me. What could I do about it anyway? But lo and behold about a month ago I started getting an itchy rash all over the waist to neck area . My doc diagnosed it a pityriasis rosea.Sound terrible doesn't it? It last from 6 to 8 weeks. I thought I would go nuts with the itch.I had bruises on me from scratching so hard...but lo and behold..when the rash started to leave it took the granuloma with it. Unreal.....I sort of missed it for a very brief short time.....like about 2 min. After all it has been my friend for the last 10 years. It has stuck with me thru thick and thin..Imagine..abandoning me like that. But who is to say it won't be back.I hope not.So if anyone can figure out a way to get pityriasis rosea..it might help you. Good luck,
