I need a new phone ASAP and one option I'm considering is buying an unlocked smartphone, hopefully for less than $200. Must have a good touch screen, wifi, and ability to tether. For example, something along the lines of WIND's Huawei U8100 Android phone, which is $140, no contract. I have Fido and so would be using the Rogers HSPA/GSM network.
I've searched this forum and google but keep getting phones at contract prices, not outright purchase price, so any suggestions are much appreciated!
