Good traditional summer camp in the Maryland/DC area?

Stuck in the Middle Ages

This isn't exactly a travel question, but I'm looking for a good traditional summer camp (day camp) and live just north of the beltway outside of DC. We have an elementary school child (going into 3rd grade) who likes many activities but not (1) being indoors a lot or (2) competitive sports.
