what are some good books for teenagers? (im 14) i need one to read on my vacation! nothing too sad (i HATE ones about like "five months to live" or whatever... way too depressing) more upbeat and fun for me! Oh, and I don't want it to be a super easy read like "the clique" books. i want something that is somewhat of a challenge because i want to keep building a strong vocabulary.

although all books are welcome! thnx!

The Twilight books by Stephani Meyer are wonderful. My favorite book (beside Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse) is Whatever happened to Lani Garver by Carol Plum-Ucci. It is a little depressing, but it's very deep, and it will DEFINETLY build your vocab. It's got quite a few cuss words though from what I remember. All American Girl (by Meg Cabot) is a teenybopper book, but it's long and I love it. Another favorite of mine is the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld

Most teenagers should be able to read almost anything.
Take a dictionary with you and read these:
Innocents Abroad by Mark Twain.
Emily Dickinson and Pablo Neruda poetry
Eckhardt Tolle: The New Earth.
Little Women by LM Alcott
Flowers for Algernon
My Friend Flicka
Sherlock Holmes mysteries by AC Doyle
Anything by Joseph Conrad (a genius with language)
You might even get a book of short stories by famous authors to try out different styles and arenas.
Happy reading!
