i'm asking because i'm rather hopeless.

yes to the foreplay. most of sex, for me is the foreplay. the foreplay actually feels better to me than the intercourse.
(to be completely honest, if i was having sex with my boyfriend just to pleasure myself, we would probably not have intercourse. he is so damn big, it kinda hurts. haha)
talk to your partner, let her know how beautiful she is and how much you love her. pretty much, just talk to her throughout sex, and be close to her, and thatll do it. for me, anyway. :) good luck.
 
most women love love love foreplay. it gets them going. be unpredictable in bed but also mysterious. make her never know what is coming next. dont be scared to try new things and new positions. what gets me going is A LOT of foreplay!!! some girls orgasm in foreplay. anyways just try new positions and new things and be adventorous, have fun!!!
