Good idea or not? Honda XR100 snow conversion?

I got a pretty crazy idea for my beater XR100 that I used for supermoto and trail riding. I found some pretty thick aluminum scraps in my shed and got the idea to make a bracket to put a ski (or two) on the front. (I'm in Illinois and it will be snowing for the next few months). For the back I was planning on just sticking an old dirt tire on there and getting some big, sharp ice screws. What could be the downfalls when trying to ride this on a frozen lake with a few inches of snow? Would it be stable? Whats better: one or two skis on front?
 
theres some cool video on youtube and they all have 1 ski in front. looks like some fun bashin through the snow. go for it. see if you can get an old snowmobile ski to ductape on the front wheel. sounds like fun to me.
