good hiking locations near LA area?

I'm planning to go hiking tomorrow, I'm in east los angeles and i was wondering if anyone new
good areas around here where me and some friends can go for a good hike.
 
There are miles of trails in Griffith Park. You can start by the ranger station, the zoo, the Observatory, or any one of a dozen places.

Eaton Canyon has some great hikes.

So does Runyon Canyon.

And there are many trailheads in Angeles National Forest off Angeles Crest Highway.
