Magazines and tabloids consist of a teenagers main readings aside from assigned readings. However Laura Cobos brings something different to the crowd, not only is she a book lover but a book club founder as well.
Laura lives in two words one filled with books and one that is reality. She’s sailed an ocean to find moby dick, marveled at kino’s pearl, waited patiently for Holden to get help and watched Brutus murder Julius Ceaser. However, she wanted other kids her age to go through these adventures. “I was tired of teens thinking that books are boring because assigned reading is all that they read, I wanted to share this joy and adventure with other people, so I started a book club.”
Ms. Cobos started her book club in the eigth grade, originally just a few of her friends but now has a varity of a dozen members ranging from middle school kids to librarians.
