So I'm turning 16 in a few months, and I was looking for suggestions for a good first car 
My top choice is currently a jeep compass or a jeep patriot.
I definitely prefer SUV's over any other build. I know they are subject to rollovers but I feel safer in a larger car, even though statistics show that smaller cars might actually be safer.
I wouldn't mind a small car if it is a sports car, but no convertibles because it rains a lot where I live.
Also, it has to be under $20,000 tops. And it has to be under that price when it is NEW.
Now before people start calling me a spoiled brat for wanting a new car, let me just make it clear that I did not expect to get a new car as my first car, but my mom doesn't want me driving a used car for some reason (something about not knowing if people have been smoking in it, drinking, ect..). Basically it needs to be new or I won't be allowed to get it even if I want to.
