good first car help plz?

ok just passed test got about £1500 for a car
want something nippie cheap to insure good size by his i mean not a tin can (saxo) something with a bit of meat on
i was thinking a 1.4 astra but the dad says they are always fu cking up
 
The dad is right they aren't the best but then again every vehicle has to f**k up. Obviously you have the saxo's, clio's, 106's, 306's and other tin cans such as them. But a good 1.4 is the Honda Civic 1.4. I'm not old enough yet but i believe that is going to be my first car. Good luck ;)
