Good electronica/techno music?

I am starting to get REALLY into electronica/techno...

I used to really hate it, but I realised that is just b/c I was exposed to really shitty techno/electronica music. Currently I go to very trendy bar/clubs (the chicks here are INSANE... last night I saw like 5 girls that could have been in playboy, and I was sober) and the ONLY music they play is techno/electric stuff... they have some really awesome stuff. I heard this michael jackson - thriller remix that was so fucking badass. The DJs they get here are badass and just about every song they play it makes everyone want to dance.

Before you list any recommendations please make sure I would like them. I like techno/electriconica with vocals (not always necessary but 95% of the time I prefer vocals) and songs that make you want to party/get crazy/get in a good move/dance/have a good time. I do not want some tranced out psychadellic shit.

Songs I like (I have very little knowledge about techno):

benny benassi - california dreamin (remix) (2nd favorite)
global DJs - the sound of san fransico; what a feeling
DJ caffeine - fuck on cocaine
DJ scooter - hyper hyper; fuck the millenium (favorite)

THANKS! PLEASE HELP ME OUT!

(also- I tried asking ppl at the clubs/bars about getting CRAB from the DJs but none had any idea)

just go get yourself a copy of in search of sunrise 4 by dj tiesto. it's pretty much as mainstream as i go but it's really good. some vocals in it too, but once you really get into house/trance music you'll understand you don't need 'em. well good luck with it. also check out residentadvisor.net for some good reviews on mix cRAB and such.

Basement Jaxx
Faithless
Daft Punk
Avalaches
ATC
Paul Oakenfold
DJ Tiesto

That's what I enjoy in the whole genre. As for as the type you are looking for, I think Basement Jaxx would be a pretty good fit.

This will lead you to the right path. In all honesty, not dissin the mainstrean, BUT, you will be led down the wrong path, aside from a LITTLE Tiesto, listening to any of the mentioned names. Granted some if them have good music, for the real and true underground vibe, go to one of these sites. Trust me!!!

Don't forget:

Cassius
Underworld
Moby (old stuff)
Chicane
The Chemical Brothers
Deep Dish
BT
Armand Van Helden
Orbital
Paul Van Dyk

and so many more...

First, educate yourself on the many different genres of electronic music and then you can decide what you like. I have some links but dont have time to post them right now, I will later. Once you determine which genres you like then you will find music a lot easier. Chances are you have never heard real techno and only club cheese and trance.
