I've been pretty interested in photography lately, and I'm looking forward to upgrading from my crappy point and shoot camera. I really don't know much about photography, but I will be taking a photography course in school next year. I just wanted to know if someone could recommend a good camera that I can start out with, and if I wanted to continue, I would still be able to produce quality shots, and just upgrade the lenses.
I have been looking at the Nikon d5000, and it looks very nice, and that's probably the most I'm willing to spend on a camera for now. Is this a good choice? What would you recommend?
