The Sound and the Fury, by William Faulkner
The Lovely Bones, by Alice Sebold
Brave New World, by Aldous Huxley
The Bluest Eye, by Toni Morrison
The Color Purple, by Alice Walker
And so forth. I like psychological and suspense novels, and I dislike comedies or books like Twilight (which are, anyways, as the reading level of a first grader).
