I have a speech tournament coming up, and I was struck by the idea that I should use Christian poetry. I found one fantastic poem called "Teach Me To Pray," which is about a new-comer to Christianity asking God how to pray. I like this poem because it highlights that God just wants you to pray, and he doesn't care how or when.
I am having a hard time finding other similar poems. Other poems that I've been finding are awful accusatory. I am inspired to use Christian poetry because this is a time that we truly need God. Accusations are not a way to gain brothers and sisters in Christ.
Does anyone know of any good poems that I should use? I'd really appreciate your help.
Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention, THIS MUST BE A PUBLISHED POEM by a person with a real name, not a username.
