Hey.
It's summer and I finally got bored. And I promised one person I'd get smarter over the summer and one way is reading! =]
So can you guys recommend any good books to read for a 16 year old guy. Yes. I actually enjoy reading after the recent book I read recommended by the friend.

I'd recommend "The Place at the Edge of the Earth" by Bebe Faas Rice. It's an excellent, historically accurate yet very fascinating story set in the present-day but (as you will find) dating back to the 1800s.
And, although one of the main characters is a teen girl, Jenny, unlike most teen books, it's not excessively girly=written about a pack of girls, or clothing dilemmas, shopping, etc.. (A fact I am sure you will appreciate!)
It's not a very long book but it will definitely make you smarter. I hope you decide to read it--it was excellent.
happy reading!

You can access your local library online...or in person....and there are book lists for young adults, etc. Here in Texas, we have the Texas Lone Star books every year.....I have to say that they have had some excellent books.
