good afternoon I need to rent a car just for two days i have a few questions...?

Hello I'm an 18 year old United States Marine currently on one of the Camp Lejune, NC installations. I need to rent a car for 2 days, I know that you need to be atleast 21 to rent however i found out that if you are under 21 and in the military you can rent a car if you are on official orders. Is this taken seriously or if I show them military ID will that be good enough for them. thanks for your time
