Gonna need some pipes for a 2011 Street Glide!

I just traded my 08 Pearl Black Fat Bob in on a 2011 Vivid Black Street Glide 103 2 days ago. It's got 15 miles on it (I'm out of town right now). Can't wait to get home and put some miles behind me!! When I bought the FB, the list of things I wanted to buy for it QUICKLY got long. There are only 3 things I need for that SG; louder pipes, 12-16" apes, and backrests for rider and passenger. If you figure out what pipes you go with make sure you post cuz I have no clue what to go with. I had 2" Slash Down Rush Slip On's on the FB and really liked that sound, but I want some with a deeper and slightly louder sound. Have fun!!
 
I'm actually happy (right now) with the sound of the 103 and stock pipes. The VH power-dual headers with Rinehart slip-ons was on the top of my list. But instead, I can do some of the other things on my list (4 point rack mounts, seat, etc). It's a win-win!
 
I had 3" cycle shacks on my Fatbob, and It sounded pretty good. It had a good rumble to it, and was fairly loud when I got into it. I'm with you though, I'm looking for a deeper sound from my new bike. I like the sound of the V&H Monster Rounds/Ovals. My only concern is if they'll be loud enough even if I pair them with the V&H power duals.
 
Was thinking of getting rhineharts or vance and hines. Found a new company mgscustombikes.com these pipes seem great, torque and horsepower improved dramatically( watch video of tru dual exhausts). Also going to get an arlenn ness big sucker and a power commander v. Let me know what u think.
 
You may want to ride it stock for a while. I think the 103 sounds pretty good in stock form and it will get a little louder as the miles rack up. It is a little louder and deeper than a 96" Street Glide, plus you can still hear the tunes on the radio. I wonder how a set of SE slipons would be?
 
I had the same question as you. I had ordered a 2011 SG w/ the power pack. started listening to every 2011 I could find -- pipe that I settled on was the Rinehart xtreme true dual. By going this route I also got rid of the catalyst in the stock head pipe -- the resulting sound was perfect, (for me) Your going to really like that bike -- have fun
 
I ended up going with the 4" Rineharts. I bought them from Jamie at FuelMoto. They sound a lot deeper than stock, and a little bit louder. Now I'm considering new head pipes, but I'm going to need a new air cleaner and programmer at the same time. Those stock head pipes with the cats, must be horribly restrictive.

Right now I'm considering either FuelMoto's 2-1-2 pipe, or the Vance and Hines Power Duals. I really like the idea of the cross over chamber, to help equalize the two pipes.
