I can not believe Avatar won Best picture

Can someone tell me what was sooooooo hilarious about The Hangover? Ive seen it. I dont get it. Its not that great of a comedy, to me.

I hope the Oscars are much better.

Also..Ricky was a great host......when they had him at the stage. Methinks NBC was scared of what he would say and really put time constraints on him. Too bad, if thats the case. He's hilarious.

Looks like Jeff winning is going to be a good thing! His movie is actually coming to a theatre here! I'm so excited.

I am so glad that Christoph Waltz won! Very very much deserved!

Ooh, also happy for Robert Downey Jr and Glee winning. Yay!

There were three other movies in the Best Picture category I would have picked over Avatar, and I didn't see the fourth (Precious). I will give props to James Cameron, though; a movie like that must be difficult to direct. I found most of the categories I was actually interested in pretty agreeable, though.

I guessed the winners in advance, and I got most of them right -- most of the movie awards recipients were no surprise, with the exception of James Cameron & Avatar. He's really a genius, and I loved that movie, but during those speeches he came across as a pompous jerk.

i wish lea michelle won for glee. =D love her! i hope glee wins!! =D love this show!

i'm so glad to see that I'm not the only one not liking the fact that Avatar won best picture/dircetor

and :yay: for RDJ wining I picked that one on boxing day after I'd seen sherlock holmes. and I guessed meryl streep would win, i just thought it would have been for It's complicated.

So glad, Glee, Michael C hall, and John Lithgow won as well.

Overall I was pretty happy with the winner, with the exception of Mad Man, and Avatar.

I'd have loved to have seen jane Lynch win, but everyone in that catergory were really good.
As an Australian I was so happy for Toni win.

I'm pretty floored that Avatar won anything....It's a good movie---but I don't think it should be picking up awards for Best Picture/Director (even though I do appreciate the labor of love aspect from James Cameron).

I can't really judge the awards that much--with having a baby now, I can't go out and see all the movies like I do every year.

And how could Jane Lynch not win!!! I'm sure the Emmy's will fix that next year.

Show had few surprises. Some good, some bad. I wouldn't have picked Avatar to win the big award, great film but not as deserving as Inglorious Basterds or the Hurt Locker. I am glad 30 Rock didn't win this time around so that was great to see someone other then them win. I was hoping for True Blood or Dexter but Mad Men won again for Drama. Out of all the winnners I am glad Jeff Bridges, Christoph Waltz, Michael C. Hall and John Lithgow won.

Yeah, but that jab Ricky Gervais took at Mel Gibson made it worth it to me :rotfl:
