Going to Sprint: Sanyo Zio or the LG Optimus

S????????????????????????????????????????????????? I looks like people like the LG Optimus S more. I know that one has Android 2.2 and the Zio has Android 2.1. What is the difference? I want a chat style phone that can hook to the internet and good media and touchscreen haha. Thanks for any answers!!!!!
