going to do a brake bleed on a ford f150?

i am going to a brake bleed on my truck since i change the brake pads and the pedal feels very loose my question is does the truck has to be on or off also do i disconnect the battery since it has abs and also what size of wrench can i use for a f150
 
you don't have to disconnect the battery cable nor do you have to run the truck just start at the right rear wheel and work from their to the left rear wheel and then the right front wheel then the left front wheel don't ever let the reservoir go dry though or you,ll have to start all over with it ,good luck,take your time and get someone to help you with it and don't forget to put the reservoir cap back on each time you refill the system,do all this and it should come out ok,good luck.
