Going to buy a bh-800/1, how to spot a fake one....

I bought one from radioshack and it came in a black box, and did not have any squares on it. Mine matches the images of real ones but now i am afraid that people are getting fake ones on ebay, then realizing it,and then buying real ones and returning the fake one to the store they just bought the real one from.
