Well, I just bought 2 tickets to Italy, going to Bologna for 3 days and to Rome for 4 days....

I have my spot booked for the Factory and Museum tour in June, and I cant wait. I have put on a spending freeze and saving every penny for Ducati stuff and a bigger suitcase to bring it all back with me.

Has anyone been to Bologna before???

Looking for any info or tips about the city. I bought a couple Italy tavel book, but none of them are from a Ducati point of view, lol!

Rent a car and go to Marenello to the Ferrari Musem and then over to Lamborghini. Its like 30 miles to each town.
We made the mistake to think we could do them all in one day. Wrong! My wife drug me out of Merrenello so we would not be late to Ducati and totaly mist Lamborghini.
We travle light, and pland to buy a dufle bag when we got to Bologna, we called it our Loot bag.
At the Farrari gift shop, a Fila bag with there logo was 150 eu.
The same Fila bag with the Corse bages at the Ducati gift shop at the Musem was 70 eu. Thats the one we got.
After our trip I have heard there is a Ducati outlet gift shop across the street from the factory? We did not see it.
The best food on our trip was in Bologna. Take lots of photos, and watch out for the Scooter gangs.
The town center is where the twin towers are, and every thing happens and King Neptones fountan.
Buy a Rick Steaves book.
See my Photo galery to see some of our trip.

Thanks a million.... I didnt know Lambo and Ferrari were so close, It isnt going to be much of a vacaion. I can see lots of early mornings and late nights.

Went last year, june was hot....I had a great time at the factory, its highly recomended.
They dont want you there too early, and if you go by car there is a car park just up the road just down a side street (free I think).
Enjoy the traffic, and the politzi dont worry about speed to much.
There are also a number of other bike factorys to see.

If you get the chance go to a bike race, FANTASTIC.

enjoy

It's located right in front of the factory, on your way out of the main gate,it'll be on your right about 400 yrds and it's right in the corner of the intersection.

I bought a big suit case, and a colapsable duffel bag just incase...

Did you find the Ducati merchandise is cheaper there than it was in North America?

I wanna buy some stuff, but I will wait!
