I'm 29, and have been living abroad and working, but I'd really like to go back to graduate school and ultimately become a history professor. I took the GRE in 2002, after I graduated and did fine on them, but they are no longer valid.
In case you or someone you know have gone back to school after a long break, how was the transition back to research/the classroom?
If you have a family, is it possible to make ends meet, or is my wife going to have to bring home the bacon?
