Hi everyone,

I have a neigrabroador who I would say is around 45-46 years old. She says that she often wakes up in the morning with back pain and sometimes it hurts to breathe, neck pain and shoulder pain. After awhile and the day goes on, it seems to subside although she says that it doesn't completely go away. Is this typical for her age or is there something seriously wrong with her? She is a friend of mine and I worry about her.

That is not typical or normal for her age. I would urge her to see her doctor and have it checked out. I'm glad she has you to give her a little push in the right direction!

I wish you and her the best,
Emily

Not typical at all for someone with no prior history of back pain (I have had back surgery so some mornings can be tough with some stiffness).

She should see a doctor and beforehand take notes on what exactly she feels, what makes it worse, what makes it better, etc.
