Going on school camp. Can I take cigarettes on the plane?

I'm going on a school camp to canberra tomorrow and obviously they've banned cigarettes and alcohol etc. But I was just wondering if there's anyway they can find out if I take cigarettes in my suitcase? Like would they be taken off me at the airport or whatever? And yes I know, smokings bad, but I just want the facts.

no there is no way they would find ciggs in your suite case except if your teachers asked the airport authorty to look for fags and alcohol in your bags lad any how put the ciggs in one of your shirts wrap it and pray a prayer

and i am quite sure you will meet others there whom made it with ciggis and some booze just have a shot for me when you are sipping the first drink along with a ciggy
