Going on 3 months working out at gym weight lifting scale is showing i still wait...

...the same? Hi guys i started going to the gym about 3 months ago with my mate. now we started on the same weights on everything and pretty much doing the same weight now. i have noticed my size is alot bigger witch is good. but why is the scale still showing me i weigh around 72kg, when my mate started the same and he is now 75ish, i would think i would of put more mass on as i am pushing much heavier weight from since i first started... Also we bust heave weight do 6 reps 4 - 5 times. just started this program the first 2 months was 8 - 10 reps lower weight. We do chest.one day/ back shoulders 2 days later then chest/ arms etc next day we have our rest time we did do alot of cardio but stop it withing the last month and focuses more on heavy weight lifting.. I just want to know why is the scale still telling me i weigh the same?. i still to a high protein diet i have a very high metabolism and my mate dose not. PLEASE HELP I just want to get big the mirror is showing me i am but yeah...
