Going into graphic art/design?

This question is not pertinent right now because I'm only going into high school but I know now (or am pretty sure, things change though) that I would like to go into graphic art at a college in Texas. I have a drawing tablet and use various programs but again, still young. I just wanted to know what you guys would recommend as a school and what I should major in. Thank you!
 
Cranbrook or RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) and some on the west coast are good (forgot the names sorry). I've learned that the more carefully you are with choosing a reputable and respected design school (or university) it matters a lot later when you have a career. If you love your work and are ambitioius, the sky (and salaries) the limit! Good luck!
