Snakes and Ladders is more painful because...
1. Most of the time you will have a get out of jail free card or
2. have the money to get out of jail if you want or
3. it's no big deal to loose a turn
but in Snakes and Ladders
1. you get way behind and theres no way out of it and
2. it can take more than one turn to get back to where you were
3. bad luck landing on snake is on the board way more often than go to jail

Jail is 3 rolls and your out, then you are just visiting, or you can pay your way out of jail.
snake well snake is down you go starting over again, surely anything to do with a snake is a failure.
