I'm going camping with my boyfriend, of 14 months, and his family. usually he spends every day at my house... i only go over to his house when my parents are away for the weekend, so i barely talk to his family. I'm really nervous around parents in general, and it just stresses me because i don't want them to hate me. i mean im sure that they wouldn't exactly hate me but i want them to be happy with me. I'm planning on spending the rest of my life with him and i feel like i have to be comfortable around his family, and i don't know how to change from the awkward zone to the comfort zone. Not to mention his sister is going to be there, with her friend. she tries to act gangster and i don't know how to exactly act around her... we are completely different types of people. I mean i just want to have fun with my boyfriend, get a break from my family and work, but i feel like my nervousness and stress is going to ruin my weekend.
does anyone have any ideas to help me feel more comfortable around his family? anyways to impress them?
