...has touched you life? I work at a hotel and we started an upgrade program where th employees are suppose to try to sell the suites so we can get incentives, the first person who brought in $3,000 or more would win a trip to the Marquis hotel in NY. So I was determined and motivated I knew I was going to win. I showed initiative and then everyone started to follow. The first day i had the General manager congratulating me and then after that they stopped and was rooting this white guy that i worked with on, interviewing him ect.. and just recognizing him. I was a bit pissed b/c I was being over looked. But instead of getting angry at him and everyone I prayed to God. I said "Lord you know I really want to win this, and I am not going to get petty or envious but please help me out." After my prayer I still had fate that I was going to win even though by this time I was behind the guy. I had requestd a few days off to visit my family and got even further behind. The next day I worked was a slow day with not many rooms to upgrade but I was the only one working which is rare but we were extremely slow. I was not intending on doing any upgrades. But I checked in a guest who was in a beautiful suite but came back down and said it was too small, so with my managers help we found him another suite for $700 per night which was $400 dollars more than what he was paying and he was staying for 8 nights, which boosted my score up to $2400 plus the other $1500 I had made. I won the trip plus received 15% out of that money. It was awesome I thanked the Lord so much b/c he brought them to me, he has never failed.
Another story is today I lost my bank key, I am extremely careful with it b/c if you loose the key they deduct $100 from your pay check and you get written up. I am responsible for all the money that I have in my draw and have to account for my key for all the oney in my drawer. I did not know where I lost it, and asked the loss prevention department but no one turned in anything. Usually in situations like that I would be stressed out but something told me to check the laundry when I got home and not to stress. So I said ok, I won't panic until I get home, but I believed I was going to find it. I went to the dryer and checked inside nothing, I was going to look in the washer but saw the key on the side of the dryer, I was soooo elated and Thank the Lord.
