God damn car. I think the dealer fucked me.

I did and it was fine...

Damn it I gotta pay $170 to get new pads and have the rotors resurfaced. Shit.

They said repositioning the throttle body fixed the rough idle. We'll see tomorrow I guess.

Eric is going to change my oil and trans fluid tomorrow so we'll see how that goes with the color and shit.

Authentic Hyundai transmission fluid, and Pennzoil Full Synthetic. I ain't fucking around here.

Ask them what the cost difference is between new aftermarket rotors and resurfacing the crap ones you have now. Also ask how much service life will be left on the rotors after they're resurfaced. Sometimes the cost difference at a dealership is small enough to justify just going with new aftermarkets.

NO NO NO NO!!!!

I SAID TAKE IT SOMEWHERE AND HAVE IT FUCKING FLUSHED!!!!!

All that shit that is in your fluid is still inside the trans stuck to the walls and shit. Unless you have a good flush job done (something I'm certain your friend don't know how to do, let alone have the equipment for it.)

If you ignore me, your fucked. Going full sync is going to cause your trans to go out in a few miles with out a full flush.

I got new aftermarket rotors and pads put on for like $50 more at STS.

I already decided on this yesterday. I got nine quarts of OEM Hyundai SPIII ATF sitting in my garage so I will have the guys at STS do it (They quoted me $130).

I have a 2007 HHR and I haven't had one problem with it. I'm just saying. You're going to have more issues with used cars, of course, but there are faulty new ones out there, too. Buying a car is an all around gamble.

So what about the "Hyundai Certified" thing Descent? Your car didn't qualify for the program.

So did you lie to us about it being certified or did they lie to you?

Maybe not the most helpful post...but when this thread first went up, I somehow knew it was Descent's without even seeing the name attached to it.

Also: you bought a used car, and were actually surprised that things were wrong with it?!
